Taken at 4:30AM working on meeting deadlines finishing our first issue to go to print. I’m just glad we’re done and over with! I’ve learned I can’t pull all-nighters anymore… Getting home at 8AM is not my thing. I could barely do it in Davis and I could barely do it now.
I also pulled some strings so Jenneum and Karen are both a part of the team and Jenneum’s picture will be seen within the first 6 pages of the magazine — I swear. LOL. We really wanted her to do a 18 page spread, but was deemed too expensive for our startup budget and refused to do nude… or did she insist? Regardless, a Jenneum cover didn’t happen. :T
And can I tell you that some of the contributors sounded like such wanabes in their bios that I thought they wanted to sound like they had no credibility. One girl in specific said “I love fashion brands, blank, and blank — in that order!” Are you forreal? I was telling the others she’s probably the type of girl that buys coach, saves the shoppingbag, and uses it as decoration in her room. She’ll proudly display it on her desk and think she’s luxury. Her favorite show is probably Gossip Girl, Hellcats, and whatever the hell else the CW produces for the tween market. Her catchphrase is probably something as stupid and vapid as “Changing the world one lipgloss at a time!!!” The girl from Legally Blonde is possibly her style icon and whatever hell brand she learned from TV. Her mindset and view of the industry is probably not too different from a 12 year old girl. </hater>
