1. G.C.B. (formerly Good Christian B***hes, then Good Christian Belles)

A show based on crazy southern Christian republicans? Yes, please. And on top of that, Kristen Chenoweth stars. I’ve been a fan of hers ever since I saw her on Pushing Daisies (scifi/fantasy dark comedy, with a style similar to Tim Burton), so I’ll most definitely give this show a shot. She looks really good for being over 40 and I like that she plays the leader of the crazy Christian women; she seems to thrive on those roles.

Addendum: How many of you guys know Kristen Chenoweth released a Christian album? Makes me love her even more. And yes, a Christian woman is playing a caricature of a southern Christian. There’s already a backlash due to the original title, but I hope people will have a sense of humor about it. I can already hella see people at church quoting this show.

Addendum 2: This show starts midseason in Jan., so in the meantime I’ll be watching:

    • The Office - Can it be the same without Michael Scott? It hasn’t been great for a while and it probably jumped shark with the departure of Steve Carell.
    • Parks & Recreation
    • Community
    • New Girl (NEW) - I gave it a shot after reading countless rave reviews. It’s charming and Zooey’s character is extremely lovable. I think this show will be around for a while.
    • Survivor - I have to say I prefer Big Brother, but this is just as good.
    • Modern Family - The novelty of the show wore off real fast so I might stop watching it.
    • Desperate Housewives - Don’t you judge me.
    • Shark Tank
    • The Simpsons
    • American Dad - I’ve noticed that the audience who prefer Family Guy to American Dad are generally dumber. lol. Well, duh, references probably go right over their head.
    • The Playboy Club (NEW) - I actually really liked it despite unfavorable reviews. I’m guessing the reviews are relative to the comparable PanAm. It has what I like about Mad Men sans what I hate… so far.

Wow, I watch a lot of shows. This excludes news/talk shows, such as 20/20 and dateline, and cable channel shows. It’s a bit excessive, but I NEED to watch things when I eat or I get bored. I won’t take a bite until I get something going. And I’m not going to lie, I panicked when I didn’t see Bob’s Burgers on the schedule, but I read that its been renewed so it better show up during Fox’s midseason lineup. What I wanted to ask is, is there anything I should be watching? I’m NOT interested in HIMYM. I kind of gave it a shot and it was boring. PanAm is getting a lot of good reviews, but if it’s anything like Mad Men, which I’ll talk more about later, I probably couldn’t watch more than 2 episodes. Even cable shows. Recommend something to me!
